50 Reasons We Are Living In The Last Days

50 Undeniable Sings We Are Living In The End Times

Are we in the latter days? Will Christ rapture us soon? And is it possible that the prophecies are being fulfilled?

I would say yes to all these questions, according to the scriptures.

The ultimate sign that we’re headed for the worst day of our life would have to be as Pastor Billy Crone (1) describes the scene: “You wake up one morning only to realize that your family has suddenly disappeared.

So you run to turn on your TV to see what’s happening and there you watch a special worldwide news report declaring that millions of people all over the planet have simply vanished. As you spy the Bible on the coffee table, it suddenly dawns on you that your family was right after all when they kept telling you about the rapture of the Church.

Then to your horror, you realize that you’ve been left behind and have been catapulted into mankind’s darkest hour, the 7-year Tribulation that really is coming upon the whole world”.

But thankfully, God is not only a God of wrath; He’s a God of love as well.

And because He loves you and me, He has given us many warning signs to show us that the Tribulation is near and that His 2nd Coming is rapidly approaching.

There are 10 outstanding signs with many off-shoots, given by God to lovingly wake us up so we’d give our lives to Him before it’s too late.

The top 10 primary signs are, the……
Jewish People,
Modern Technology,
Worldwide Upheaval,
The Rise of Falsehood,
The Rise of Wickedness,
The Rise of Apostasy,
One World Religion,
One World Government,
One World Economy, and
The Mark of the Beast. (1)

These 10 signs set the stage for what is taking place in the world today, and from which I will introduce 50 signs to prove that we are living in the end of time. And these are by no means an exhaustive list, I’m sure you can come up with a few more as you stop, look, and listen.

Like it or not folks, we are headed for The Final Countdown. Please, if you haven’t already done so, give your life to Jesus Christ of Nazareth today, because tomorrow is promise to no one and may be too late!

In Matthew 24:6, Jesus was asked, “What shall be the sign of thy coming?” He replied saying, “And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”

Have you watched the news on television and wondered, ‘What is this world coming to?’ Tragic things happen so suddenly and unexpectedly that no human can predict what tomorrow will bring. (James 4:14).

However, Jehovah knows what the future holds. (Isaiah 46:10) Long ago his Word, the Bible, foretold not only the bad things happening in our day but also the wonderful things that will occur in the near future.

We affirm that the re-establishment of Israel and Jerusalem returning to Jewish sovereignty is key in our understanding of the times and seasons in which we are living. According to the Bible, at the End of Days, Yeshua returns to Jerusalem. (3)

We must keep our eyes on Israel because she is God’s time clock. Someone said, The nation of Israel is the hour hand, Jerusalem is the minute hand and the third temple is the second hand.

50 signs we are in the end times, not listed in order of  priority:

1. Increasing Instability of Nature
Naturaldisasters

There is an obvious increase of natural disasters over the past century – droughts, earthquakes, floods, storms,
and others.

2. Increasing Lawlessness and Violence: (Mtt 24:12; 2 Tim 3:13; Luke 17:26;)

The spirit of anarchy is permeating all nations, and the outbreaks that from time to time excite the horror of the world are but indications of the pent-up fires of passion and lawlessness that, having once escaped control, will fill the earth with woe and desolation.

The corruption that prevails, it is beyond the power of the human pen to describe. Every day brings fresh revelations of political strife, bribery, and fraud. Every day brings its heart-sickening record of violence and lawlessness, of indifference to human suffering, of brutal, unwarranted destruction of human life.

3. Increasing Sexual Immorality: (Luke 17-28,29)

Various sexual and marriage practices that the Bible strongly condemns as immoral are gaining acceptance in the nations across the globe. (3)

Here are the various practices, along with their approval ratings:

  • Divorce—73%
  • Sex between an unmarried man and woman—69%
  • Gay or lesbian relations—63%
  • Having a baby outside of marriage—62%
  • Sex between teenagers—36%
  • Pornography—36%
  • Polygamy—17%
  • Extramarital affairs—9%

There are some people who put no value on human life and go ahead with an abortion, others engage in immoral sexual activity as if it were an everyday event.

4. Increasing Materialism: (Matt 6: 19-34)

God created us to love people and use things, but materialists love things and use people. Materialism begins with our beliefs.

Jesus rebuked the Laodicean Christians because, although they were materially wealthy, they were desperately poor in the things of God (Rev3:17-18). Materialism can blind us to our own spiritual poverty.

Materialism, however, has nothing to do with how much money you or I have in the bank. It has little to do with whether you drive a Rolls Royce or a Lamborghini, or even a BMW to speak more in familiar Jamaican terms.

Materialism is primarily an attitude toward money and its importance. Materialism is an attitude which attaches to money and material goods more importance than they deserve, and that’s what we see happening increasingly.

5. Increasing Hedonism: (Matt 24:37-39; 2Timothy 3: 1-4)

Someone asked: How is it possible that something so wicked as pornography has become so commonplace within the Church?

The hedonistic lifestyle refers to a pleasure-oriented lifestyle with the belief that the highest value is the experience of pleasure.

The media in the form of television, internet, social media, video games, and pornography, have all become mainstays of our culture and have had a dramatic impact on the spiritual condition of the church. They also represent a lifestyle that is becoming increasingly self-focused, self-indulgent and self-deceived.

6. Increasing Influence of Humanism: (2Timothy 3:1-5)

The growing phenomena in humanism is a belief that human needs and values are more important than religious beliefs, or the need to recognize and worship God.

In our modern times, the humanist movements are typically non-religious movements aligned with secularism. Today humanism belief and practice do everything to exclude God, they take a nontheistic life stance centered on human agency and looking to science rather than revelation from a supernatural source to understand the world.

7. Depraved Entertainment: (Romans 7:18)

The entertainment industry has gone record low into depravity. Take for example the Grammy Awards Show in January of last year, when the entertainment industry delivered an in-your-face message to evangelicals and conservatives, unleashing what almost certainly was the most graphic, vulgar, demonic program in the history of broadcasting television. (4)

It is interesting that all the entertainment that would be cause for great shame, embarrassment and personal humiliation in a morally healthy society are done with no sense of shame or embarrassment in our society.

Behaviour and practices like cohabitation, promiscuity, fornication, homosexuality, having children outside wedlock, lying, cheating, corruption of the highest order, and the most ungodly imaginations are conceived in the human hearts. These things are everywhere in our society. They are commonplace. They are all around us. It’s like no one feels bad about them anymore. The social stigma against them is gone. It is a bold, brazen, shameless world in which we live today.

8. Calling Evil Good and Good Evil: (Isaiah 5: 20)

Satan has deceived many people in our society even nations and leaders, to the point of an immoral approach to moral issues.

We can think of many examples of voices that are ungodly and powerful among Satan’s many proclamations, but let us examine three of them.

First, he says individual agency is justification for the destruction of a human life through abortion. Second, same-gender intimate associations and even marriages are acceptable; and third, chastity and fidelity are old-fashioned and narrow-minded – to be sexually active with free expression is acceptable.

9. Increasing Use of Drugs: (Revelations 9:21)

It’s not just illegal drugs, such as cocaine or heroin, that can lead to abuse and addiction. Prescription medications such as painkillers, sleeping pills, and tranquilizers can cause similar problems. In fact, next to marijuana, prescription painkillers are the most abused drugs.

Collectively, my research reveals that smoking, alcohol and illicit drug use kills 11.8 million people each year. This is more than the number of deaths from all cancers. (5)

In addition the Coronavirus “plandemic” is bad enough, but reports have surfaced about a resurgence in opioid use in the wake of widespread unemployment and traumatic isolation created by the lockdowns.

10 Increasing Blasphemy: (Revelations 13:6)

Several recent incidents have drawn international attention to laws and policies prohibiting blasphemy – remarks or actions considered to be contemptuous of God or the divine.

Indeed, the latest data shows that 52 governments – including some in very populous countries like China, Indonesia and Russia – impose either “high” or “very high” levels of restrictions on religion. (6)

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has called for an international convention banning speech deemed insulting to Muslims and claimed there does not exist any historical “mention” of Jesus. (7)

We are witnessing increased acts of insulting or showing complete contempt or lack of reverence for God, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or holy.

11 Increasing Paganism: (Leviticus 20: 6; Deuteronomy 18: 9-14; Revelation 21: 8)

Those who are keeping abreast with world trends know that the UK is an increasingly becoming secular a society, with atheists now outnumbering Christians in England and Wales. Organized religion is also in decline in many other countries including the US.

In both cases, data reveal that young people are responsible for this trend. Statistics show that millennials are increasingly likely to abandon the monotheism (a belief in one, often male god) they were socialized into as children for more self-determined, spiritual paths during their teens and early twenties. (8)

Here are some generally agreed-upon facts about religious trends in the past recent decades. Institutional Christianity has weakened drastically since the 1990s. Lots of people who once would have been lukewarm Christmas-and-Easter churchgoers now identify as having “no religion” or being “spiritual but not religious.”

The mainline-Protestant establishment is an establishment no more. Religious belief and practice now polarizes our politics in a way they didn’t a few generations back.

12 Increasing Despair: (Psalm 34: 17-20; 2Corinthians 4:8-9)

The high costs of COVID-19 are evident in lost jobs, dramatic falls in GDP growth, compromised schooling, crippled by fear to move about, and much more.  The human costs of the pandemic—above and beyond the gruesome death toll—are much more difficult to assess.

About 17 percent of American adults had at least one major depressive episode in 2019. Nearly 13 percent of the U.S. population likely took antidepressant medication during the past month, yet suicide rates have risen to the highest since World War II. (9)

The odds of dying from suicide or an opioid overdose — the “diseases of despair” — are now higher than that of dying from a motor-vehicle accident.

These problems are tragically concentrated among the young. More than 3 million people ages 12 to 17 had at least one major depressive episode in 2019.

13 Signs in the Heavens: (Matthew 24:29)

Astronomers frequently publish news of stars falling, new stars appearing, and regular sight of meteor crash. At 9:15 a.m. of February 15, 2013, Chelyabinsk, Urals Federal Region, Russia, was hit by an asteroid, and a huge shock wave and explosion caused 1,491 people injured and plenty of glass broken. (10)

It was said by scientists that the diameter of the asteroid was about 15 meters and that it weighed about 7,000 metric tons. This has fulfilled the prophecy “the stars shall fall from heaven.” On May 17, 2016, a meteor streaked across New England sky, turning night into daylight.

In January 2018, a super blue blood moon occurred in the sky. Prior to this, a series of blood moons had appeared. All this has fulfilled the prophecy “fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

14 The Explosion of Cults: (Matthew 24: 4-31)

Our Lord and God warned us, “Take heed that no man deceive you”. As time shortens and we come closer and closer to the end of the age, lies, deceit, false teachings, false Christ’s, the occult, and cults will abound.

The fastest-growing of the pseudo-religions occupy the minds that are void of God’s Holy Spirit are dangerous cults with almost no redeeming qualities, and if left unchecked will inspire their adherents to commit violence. In some cases, they already have as we have seen in the USA in recent months.

All cults have in common that they deny the fact that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Some are very explicit about this and are thus easy to recognize – they are what we call “Non-Christian Cults”. Others seem to believe almost the same as we do but if we look closer we see that their teachings are in fact quite different from what we know as the true word of God – that’s why we call them “Pseudo-Christian Cults”.

15 The Proliferation of False Christ: (Matthew 24:23–26)

As we know, deception from false Christs has now occurred in the religious communities of many countries. For example, in South Korea, many are deceived into following false Christs due to lack of discernment.

All false Christs can do is to perform some simple signs and wonders and preach some specious fallacies to deceive others. They simply can’t express the truth to resolve man’s problem of committing sins and then confessing, nor can they save mankind from corruption.

16 Increasing Apostasy in the Church: (Matt. 24:11-13; 1 Timothy 4:1-3)

Apostasy in Christianity is the rejection of Christianity by someone who formerly was a Christian or who remain in the church but their views, beliefs and practice have drastically change from biblical truth.

The term apostasy comes from the Greek word apostasia (“ἀποστασία”) meaning “defection”, “departure”, “revolt” or “rebellion”.

Apostasy is the old, vigorous word to describe this abandonment of Christ. The New Testament church was familiar with it.  There are many different ways by which we can depart from the faith because we can be deceived by religious error.

17 Increasing Attacks on Jesus Christ: (Luke 10:16; John 12:48; Matt 10:33)

The biggest problem in the world today for most people is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Talk about Allah, not a problem, talk about Mohamed, not a problem, talk about Buddha, not a problem, but once you mention the name Jesus, you can expect opposition, attack and venom coming from all direction.

18 Increasing Attacks on the Bible: (Ephesians 6:12; Psalm 91: 1-16; Romans 12: 19)

Attacking the Bible which is the living Word of the Living God, has survived continuous attacks for centuries. But because it is the efficacious and God-breathe Word form God, no man nor beast can destroy it.

I believe, without question, that we are in the last days before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.   And Satan knows time is quickly running out.   And he has master-minded an attack upon the Word of God with a cunning and viciousness that is staggering!

19 Increasing Persecution of Christians: (Revelations 13:7)

It should come as no surprise to those who know their bible, that Christian persecution around the world is one of the biggest human rights issues of this era.

People suffer simply because they are Christians, they suffer because of their faith. While Christian persecution takes many forms, it is defined as any hostility experienced as a result of identification with Jesus Christ.

In just the last year 2019, there have been:

  • Over 260 million Christians living in places where they experience high levels of persecution
  • 2,983 Christians killed for their faith
  • 9,488 churches and other Christian buildings attacked
  • 3,711 believers detained without trial, arrested, sentenced or imprisoned (11).

20 Increasing Occultism:  (Ephesians 6, 12)

Many souls are suffering the scourges of occultism, and many illnesses people are suffering today, have their origin in the occultism. Theses individuals are bound by demonic forces, and can only experience deliverance, liberation and freedom through Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

The spiritual crisis is leading many to seek solutions in occult sources, the servants of evil are trapping in their nets many unaware that instead of looking to God, they are placing their faith in other sources at the service of evil.

The world is being covered by the veil of evil that spreading wider every day.

21 Wars and Rumors of War: (Mark 13:7)

There are wars and rumors of war all over the globe. Rather than worry about the wars raging in the Middle East, in Eastern Europe, and elsewhere, it is essential we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and obey Him.

He has given us a mission to fulfill (Matthew 28:18–20). When telling His disciples about the signs of the end, He said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come”

22 Weapons of Mass Destruction: (2Corinthians 10: 4; Matthew 24: 22)

One of the downsides of science and technology has been mankind’s propensity to use this information for destructive purposes. As knowledge has increased, so has our ability to create weapons of mass destruction to kill larger numbers of people and cause more harm to the earth.

23 Increasing Famine: (Amos 8:11; Genesis 41: 53-57; Luke 21: 11)

Jesus said His return would occur at a time characterized by “wars and rumors of wars… famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:3–8).

The Apostle John saw a vision of four horsemen that would usher in the end of the age (Revelation 6:1-8). A white horse pictures false religion. A red horse pictures war and violence that will spread around the earth. A black horse, with a rider holding a pair of scales, pictures a time of scarcity, soaring food prices and famine.

A pale horse portrays death by, hunger, disease and natural disasters that will affect one quarter of the earth!

The prophet Joel predicted that the Day of the Lord—Christ’s return—would bring unprecedented disasters, including a devastating period of drought in which “the grain is ruined, the new wine is dried up… the harvest of the field has perished… all the trees of the field are withered…

24 Increasing Pestilence: (Matthew 24:6–8; Revelation 6:8)

We have seen unprecedented apocalyptic swarms of locusts destroying crops across a band of countries from Pakistan and Northern India, through Yemen to Somalia and Kenya.

With pestilence comes illness and death. Thousands of people have died from complications of Covid-19, which can attack the respiratory system, leaving those with pre-existing health conditions and the elderly vulnerable.

25 Increase In Natural Disaster: (2Chronicles 7: 13-14; Mark 13: 7-9)

In recent years, disasters are getting worse and worse all over the world—earthquakes, wildfires, famines, and plagues occur frequently and are widespread; the world is in a state of constant upheaval and turmoil, with wars, violence and terrorist attacks on the rise.

For example, the coronavirus-infected pneumonia, which occurred in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019, has spread to many countries around the world, causing a serious situation. The United States saw an outbreak of a deadly flu, which resulted in many deaths. Australia’s bushfires have lasted for several months since September 2019, causing significant damage and loss.

In California, wildfire is still raging in mid September at the creation of this article. 3,472,947 Acres Burned; 7,882 number of Wildfires raging; Loss of Life, 26 Fatalities Confirmed so far; Concerning Structures 6,762 Structures damaged or destroyed.

East Africa suffered its worst invasion of desert locusts in 25 years, which led to food crisis in many African nations. In November 2019, the worst flood in 50 years hit Venice, Italy, with 80% of the city flooded.

26 Increase In Travel: (Daniel 12:4 )

For centuries upon centuries the fastest man could go was on an horse back.
There is a proliferation of travel in the last 100 years. Look at the increase in land travel,
> Increase on speed travelling on land
> The increase of options for land travel
> The invention of automated cars
> They are now working on automated roads!

Not until the Wright brothers Orville and Wilber Wright invented flying in 1903. Then it took off like wild fire! Right after the Wright brothers made “man flying” possible, came World War 1 (WWI), there were 219 different aircraft in WWI. World War II took flying even further with the release of the first jet plane. After WWII came Jet Commercial Airliners. Boeing 707, Jombo Jet 747 capable of carrying over 400 passenger, to Airbus A380, to the first Super Sonic Commercial Jet flying faster.

In 2017 over four billion people travelled on airplanes, and it is estimated that continuing on the current trajectory, by 2036, more than seven billion will travel annually.

27 Computer Technology: (Daniel 12:4)

The rapid increase in technology is transforming civilization in ways we could never imagine 50 or 100 years ago. We are seeing unexpected advancement in ways that are exciting and scary, ways we are only beginning to understand. Tech seems on the verge of recreating human beings into something new—something altered, bionic, computerized, robotic, superhuman.

The Internet “spiderweb” has descended and covered nearly all elements of civilization. The smartphones, smartwatch, and smart home are growing into the “smart cities and into smart world.”

28 The Television: (Revelation 11: 8-10)

God knows the end from the beginning, He knows what will happen in the future and has chosen to reveal some things in His Word.

During the future 7-year Tribulation Period, two prophets will be killed in Jerusalem and their dead bodies will lie in the streets for 3½ days. The Bible indicates that the people from all over the world will watch this event, which is only possible through TV and the Internet.

29 Satellite Technology: (Daniel 12:4)

We see leaps in technological advances such as nuclear missile strike capability and satellite technologies that allow us to see real time events halfway around the world which were impossible one-hundred years ago.

Satellite imagery is improving and becoming better by the hour.

Satellite and analytics companies say they’re careful to anonymize their data, removing and adjusting it from revealing characteristics. But even if satellites aren’t recognizing faces, those images combined with other data streams—GPS, security cameras, social-media posts—could and will pose a threat to privacy.

30 Virtual Reality: (Matthew 24:4)

Like so many technological marvels, virtual reality was first theorized in science fiction.

Virtual reality is not reality at all: it is a fake reality which many want to inhabit for “fun.” Speculation is that this clearly-labeled fake reality will distract from the unlabeled fake reality which is sold to modern man as “news,” “science” and “information.”

All Satan had to do working through his emissaries was make deception fashionable and cutting edge. Make no mistake: false reality, virtual reality and other simulated realities are deceptions.

31 Unification of Europe: (Daniel 2; Revelation 13)

In the book of Daniel, Daniel interprets two dreams. These dreams prophesy the unification of Europe, which is being fulfilled today. Europe could be the center from which the Antichrist one day rises to power and rules the world.

32 Eastern Military Powers: (Psalm 83: 3-5; Daniel 11)

The Middle East remains a very turbulent and tumultuous region of the world, forcing the various regional players to maintain large standing armies. Some of the most prophetic regional powers remain Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.

Base on Bible prophecy fulfillment, Israel is currently surrounded by nations that are screaming for their blood. Anti-Semitism is raging through Europe and the United States. Jews are being targeted around the world for assassination, and their synagogues are being vandalized as worshippers are being killed.

Just a few years before the return of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, bringing His coming government to be headquartered in Jerusalem, a powerful kingdom of men will arise—a stunning superpower with roots in the ancient Holy Roman Empire.

33 Movement Toward One World Government: (Revelation 13: 1-18)

The concept of One World Government is that there can be one common political authority for all of humanity.

One World Currency: Central banks such as the Federal Reserve already issue digital money with the Commercial banks that have accounts with them.

One World Religion: In Rome Reports, an article published on April 3, 2019 reveals Pope Francis speaking with an audience of Muslims, telling them that God wants a fraternity among Muslims and Catholics.

34 Re Gathering of the Jews: (Isaiah 11:10-12; Isaiah 66: 8-10)

The Jews didn’t just return to their land, but they also became a nation again, and not just any nation, but one ordained by prophecy. A prophecy foretold that Israel would become a nation born in just one day. And that’s exactly how it went down, on May 14, 1948, at 4 pm to be exact.

The fulfillment of Daniel’s Seventieth Week prophecy cannot begin without the Jewish people being in place, for all of Revelation focuses on the Jewish people.

The Tribulation is the time of Jacob’s trouble, not the Church’s trouble. The Tribulation exists as the final week of Gentile rule according to Daniel.

35 Re-Establishment Of Israel: (Ezekiel 37: 21-22)

Israel reborn in a Day: Isaiah asked, “Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment?” (Isaiah 66:8).  After nearly two millennia and a succession of foreign rulers, on May 14, 1948, David Ben Gurion declared the restoration of the Jewish State, Israel.

36 Reclamation of the Land of Israel From Desolation to
      Abundance: (Isaiah 35:1; 41: 18-19; 51: 3; Ezekiel 36: 34-35)

God had promised that when the Jews returned, He would cause their land to be rejuvenated, transforming it from desolation to abundance.

The Desert Will Bloom: The prophet Isaiah foretold a time when “the desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom”.  In her short time of existence as a modern State, Israel is known for its abundant flowers and produce. Desert lands have become fertile farms.

During the early 20th Century when the Jews started returning to the land, it was a swampland infested with malaria that had been stripped of all its forests. Today, it is the bread basket of the Middle East, and the forests have been replanted.

37 Revival of Biblical Hebrew: (Zephaniah 3:9;  Jeremiah 31:23)

The Hebrew Language Revived: According to the prophet Zephaniah, God would restore to the peoples a pure language. In the late 1800s, Russian immigrant to Israel, Eliezer Ben-Yehudah, revived the ancient Hebrew language, giving the returning exiles of Israel a common language.

In the year of 1922, the British declared the Biblical Hebrew language to be one of the three official languages of Palestine, together with English and Arabic. Ben-Yehuda died one month later.

38 Reoccupation Of Jerusalem: (Zechariah 8:4-8; Luke 21:24)

The Jews were dispossessed of their beloved capital city when the Romans destroyed it in 70 AD and took them into captivity. They briefly reoccupied the city during the Second Jewish Revolt that began in 132 AD, but after that, the city was never under their control again for century after century. Even after they declared the re-establishment of their state in 1948, they were unable to conquer the city in the War of Independence that followed.

Jerusalem Restored to the Jews: “Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled”.  Signs of this prophetic fulfillment have begun rapidly falling into place since the re-establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.

The first step in the fulfillment of this prophecy came on June 7, 1967 at the end of the Six Day War when the Jews conquered the city of Jerusalem and reoccupied it with sovereignty over it, for the first time in 1,897 years.

It is no wonder that on that day, the chief rabbi of the Israeli army, Rabbi Shlomo Goren, came to the Western Wall, blew a shofar, and then proclaimed: “We have taken the City of God. We are entering the Messianic era for the Jewish people.”

39 Global Conflict Over The Status Of Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:3)

Zechariah prophesied that in the last days of this age, there would be a worldwide crisis focused on the Arab-Israeli conflict and on the question of who rules Jerusalem. This is already a main area of global concern; more UN resolutions have been passed on this issue than on any other.

According to the prophet, the Middle East crisis would capture the attention of the whole world in the last days, and the search for a peace settlement would be of prime importance. Today, a “quartet” composed of the United States, the European Union, Russia, and the UN (representing all other nations) is attempting to negotiate a peace plan for the Middle East.

39 Resurgence of the Israeli Military: (Zechariah 12:6).

The size of the present Israel land occupation is so small, is like comparing David and Goliath. But despite the fact that Israel is one of the smallest nations in the world, its military power is regularly ranked among the top ten to fifteen in the world.

40 Refocusing of World Politics on Israel: (2 Samuel 7:1-17; 2 Samuel 11:1-27)

Those who know their bible, are fully aware that the establishment and re-establishment of the nation of Israel is a divine act of Elohim the Chief Judge. Nevertheless, with that reality, if Israel owed its existence to any earthly powers besides itself, it would be the United States.

Israel’s shaky coalition government, which was formed in April, will head to the polls again after parliament failed to meet a deadline to pass the budget. The country is set to hold its fourth election in two years on March 23, 2021.

Apart from persistent tensions between Israel and the Palestinian Territories, the risk of conflict with Iran and its allies has increased following the assassination on orders of US President Donald Trump of the powerful Iranian general Ghassem Suleimani on 3 January 2020.

Throughout his tenure, Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had made Iran his priority, accusing Tehran of seeking to develop nuclear weapons, comparing the country to Nazi Germany and urging US administrations to withdraw from the 2015 nuclear deal.

Israel has launched hundreds of missiles to Syria in recent years, targeting Iranian-backed militias as well as supplies sent by Lebanese Hezbollah to support Bashar’s forces al-Assad (12)

41 Russian Threat to Israel: (Daniel 11:40-45; Daniel 12:1-3)

In a recent noteworthy interview with an Israeli newspaper on Tuesday December 8, Russia accused Israel of being responsible for the unrest in the Middle East, while relieving Iran and its allies of blame. Israel is accused of attacking Hezbollah, instead of Hezbollah attacking Israel.

42 Arab Threat to Israel (Psalm 83:4)

From attacks on Israel’s territory to global antisemitism, we can see the nations of the earth gathered together against Israel today—just as the prophet Zechariah said. Psalm 83:4 also describes the surrounding nations wanting to eliminate Israel: “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

43 Denial of Jesus’ Second Coming: (2Peter 3:3-4)

The society we live in today is struggling with the combined skepticism of Jesus’ return with their love of sin without consequences as the foundation to deny the return of Jesus Christ.  The Apostle Peter  reminds his readers how the Scriptures warned there would be scoffers in the last days who depart from truth and follow sinful desires.

They would question the promise of God’s return, citing that ever since the patriarchs died, all things have continued just as they were from the beginning. They deliberately forget the fact that God had intervened before, both in the account of creation and the flood, and that he would surely intervene again on a final day of reckoning for the evil, wickedness, and diabolic forces at work and rescue for the righteous.

44 Denial of Creation by God: (Matthew 10: 32-33)

We are seeing more and more a significant increase of a paradigm shift occurring with evangelicals in their approach to understanding the origin of the world. With a deceptively confused mixture of biblical and scientific reasons, an increasing number of evangelical scholars are beginning to deny the supernatural creation.

This shift started largely by evangelicals who are more committed the evolution theory as the way in which God created the world and formed the first human being.

45 Outpouring of The Holy Spirit: (Joel 2:28, 29)

The Apostle Peter said that Joel’s prophecy about the last day outpouring of the Spirit pointed to the Pentecost experience (Acts 2:16-21). Peter said the gift of prophecy in the book of Joel 2:28 was the gift of tongues the disciples received from the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

The prophet Joel also prophesied about the former rain and the latter rain.  He used rain as a symbol for the Holy Spirit.  The former rain is the Pentecostal outpouring. And the latter rain is near the close of earth’s history, God  is going to minister a special outpouring of spiritual grace to prepare the church for Jesus’ return.

46 Translation of the Bible into Many Languages and the Preaching of the Gospel Worldwide: (Matthew 24: 14-18)

There are currently over 7,300 living languages in the world today with a total population of 7.8 billion people.

Languages with Scripture

There are 3415 languages with some Scripture covering about 7 billion people. 704 languages have a complete copy of the Bible equaling about 5.7 billion people. A total of 1551 languages have a complete copy of the New Testament (some also have Old Testament portions) equaling 815 million people. Another 1160 languages with some translated portions of the Bible comprising about 458 million people (13).

After all nations have heard the gospel of the Lord, He will return.  After the Lord Jesus completed the work of redemption through His crucifixion, the Holy Spirit began to guide God’s chosen people to testify the Lord Jesus. Today the gospel is spreading through radio, the Internet, books, gospel flyers, evangelism, and other means. The gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ has been spread more and more widely and will finally preached among all nations.

47 The Revival of Messianic Judaism: (Romans 9:1; 10:1)

As a consequence of the Six- Day War in June 1967, it sparked a subsequent outpouring of the Holy Spirit that unleashed, in many respects, the modern Messianic Movement. Not only did this unconventional wave of the Spirit, later termed the Jesus Movement.

Today there are messianic congregations throughout the world and Christian colleges offering full degrees in Messianic Studies!

48 The Revival of Davidic Praise Worship: (2 Samuel 6:1-22)

David was described as a man after God’s own heart. David rescued the Ark of the Covenant, (which was the symbol of Yahweh’s omnipresence); The return of the Ark resulted in great rejoicing. There was food, singing, instruments playing, sacrifices to God and dancing. David danced with all his might before the Lord.

Over the past two decades we are seeing a new dimension of music gaining an unprecedented prominence in the church.  The powerful influence of music has become so dominant that it is not unusual for worship ministers and praise teams to spend more time with the congregation in music ministry than pastors do in ministry of the Word of God.

49 Strife and Discord Within Families Have Increased (Matthew 10:36)

50 Understanding of Bible Prophecy (Revelation 13)
Economic Turmoil is another Biblical sign of the second coming. Most are aware of “the mark” that Antichrist will require people to have to buy and sell. Most Bible scholars believe this mark will become necessary because of the mess the world will be in because of the first half of the Tribulation Period.
