(Episode 001) Everything Was Created By Him and For Him

Today we are going to read the first three chapters of Genesis, Bereshit, the book of beginnings, in the beginning.

If it is at all possible, I invite you to get your Bible and follow along with me. And remember you can download the lesson on your personal device and listen at your convenience.

So let’s begin today’s reading of the Word of God as written in Genesis Chapter one:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Introduction: In The Beginning God Created The Heaven And The Earth

What’s the Bible all about? The Bible is about two main subjects, the creation of everything by God including Man, and humanity disobedience to His creator’s command, and God’s redemption plan to bring back fallen man into right relationship with His creator. Almost the entire bible is about that plan of redemption.

From in Genesis chapter 3:15, God introduced His plan to redeem mankind. The entire Bible is about one man, the man Christ Jesus. As you read the Scripture through the lens of the Holy Spirit, you can see Jesus on every page. That’s one objective we intend to achieve in reading the scripture, to see Jesus moving throughout every chapter, every book in the Bible

The Bible known also as the Scripture is accepted by Christians and in part by Jews as the inherent, infallible, and inspired Word of God. Therefore, the path I will trod through this podcast is the Judeo-Christian worldview.
